There are rumours floating around that the Olympic torch for the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver will have a "Salish paddle inspired design". I wasn't quite sure what that looked like but I found several samples here.

The mystery will be unveiled tomorrow (Thursday, February 12) in Whistler Village at the one-year countdown ceremony.

According to news reports, the torch will have a GPS chip embedded to enable constant route tracking. That will be cool to follow along. We will also finally be able to solve that longstanding mystery of where torches go to bed at night.

Stay tuned!
