Canadian Canoe MuseumThe Canadian Canoe Museum is holding its annual open house this Sunday (January 4) from noon to 5pm with free admission and guided tours of its massive collection of canoes, kayaks and artefacts from around the world. If you haven't made the trip to Peterborough, Ontario to see it, you really need to. It's fantastic.

They are also starting up their popular workshops throughout the winter. They will have workshops on making your own authentic Hudson's Bay Company blankets, weave your own woodland basket or build your own wanigan. For those not in the know, that's a wooden box that holds kitchen supplies on a canoe trip.

All the details can be found on their website at: canoemuseum.net.
