Aquapac just posted what I think that this is one of the funniest press releases I have read in a very, very long time. A very nice change from the boring and stuffy ones usually passed around:

Andy MacAuley, Creative Director at Aquapac International, spent much of yesterday cleaning up in the mess left in the Aquapac offices after company CEO Tim Turnbull’s head exploded.

Officials say Turnbull’s head apparently burst after the 153,000th incorrect media reference to Aquapac’s website. For the record, the website is www.aquapac.net, not .com, which seems to escape a number of fact checkers in today’s fast-paced media world.

Aquapac.com is, of course, owned and operated by Western Marine Insurance Services.

"I'm sort of surprised at how much was in Tim’s head," said MacAuley, between dry heaves during the clean-up process.  "I always figured there was little more than Styrofoam packing peanuts and off-color jokes rattling around in there."

MacAuley spent several seconds lamenting Turnbull's demise.

Who is going to forget their URL after reading that? You can read the full thing over at the Outdoor Industry Association’s press release page.
