Solar Powered KayakI saw this featured on Gizmodo this morning and couldn't resist posting.

The SPK-1 comes with an outrigger attachment and electronic motor for moving through the water. The key to it is that it also comes with three waterproof solar panels to convert the goodness from the sun into energy.

It is a really interesting idea for people who want to get out and not have to paddle for some reason.

I have seen this type of thing before but this is a little unique in that the outrigger is designed so it can attach to your boat with no modifications or holes to drill. The downside is that it is attached by straps that would cause some considerable drag but who cares, you have a motor baby!
