New Camping Gear for True Nerds

Friday, 03 April 2009
For to long now, geeks and nerds have been stigmatized in camping movies as the kid with bad teeth, bad allergies and most likely be the first person killed when zombies or knife wielding maniacs run into camp. Even though we all know the previous sentence is both true in real life and in the movies, geeks now no longer need to leave their weird world behind when they decide to go camping.

Tauntaun Sleeping Bag

Think Geek has just announced that they are working hard to bring their Star Wars Tauntaun Sleeping Bag to life. Originally, it was developed as a fantastic April Fools joke; but the response has been so over whelming by retainer wearing nerds that they are working to get the product officially licensed by Lucasfilm.

I'm happy to say that I would be very happy to trade in my down mummy bag for the Tauntaun sleeping bag any day.

Finally, number crunchers out there will feel at home in the wilderness with the Gridus Barbecue Grid. I have lamented for so long that somebody needs to figure out how to take Excel outside and thank goodness that the design team at Art Lebedev stepped up to the plate.
