New Pact will Enable More Accurate GPS Systems

It looks like the US and European Union are close to a deal to make their GPS navigation systems compatible with each other.

Under the agreement EU and US satellites would send information on the same radio frequency, enabling receivers to pick up signals from both systems and combine the data.

With both systems working together, it would double the number of satellites your GPS unit would pick up increasing the accuracy. [More info: newscientisttech.com]
