Police find kayak hit and run suspect

David Kenny was critically injured in his kayak when a boat hit him.Lakewood Police say they have found the suspect in the hit-and-run boating case that critically injured 14 year old David Kenny last Sunday.

They have interviewed the individual but have yet it publicly identified the individual but has interviewed him and said that they don't believe the boater intended to injure the boy or acted in a negligent or reckless manor.

Police told local news, KING 5 News the individual is someone they "knew about from day one" and they have determined that he "knew he hit something."

According to the police, the information is being forwarded to the Prosecutor's office which will determine if a crime was committed.

Kenny remains in critical condition at Mary Bridge Children's Hospital in Tacoma.
