Map Sherpa Custom Map

Map Sherpa has been very kind to offer to help sponsor our upcoming Georgian Bay Storm Gathering by sending along two custom printed maps that we will be using as door prizes for the event.

Custom Topographic Map of Georgian BayIf you haven’t heard of Map Sherpa before, they are an online company which allows you to print custom Canadian topographic maps. Through the online service, you can drop in lines, points of interest or text then save the custom map to a pdf for home printing. For a bit more cash you can create poster sized maps and get them printed to regular or water proof paper. I recently wrote about them a couple of weeks ago.

For our custom map of Georgian Bay, we decided to highlight several paddling points of interest in and around Parry Sound that would be of interest to paddlers.

I’m pleased to say that the maps turned out to be absolutely fantastic and I’m currently trying to figure out a way to rig the draw so I can win one of them...
