It Came in the Mail: Paddle Your Own Kayak

Thursday, 26 June 2008
Whew! Life has been super busy over the past week and I apologize to my three fans out there for not posting anything.

This time last week, I was preparing to teach a level 1 and Flatwater instructor course. The course took place at Harbourfront Canoe & Kayak Centre over the weekend and it was a ton of fun.

I shot a bit of video of students fooling around in their boats and in the process of editing it. I should it posted over the weekend if all goes well.

Paddle Your Own Kayak: An Illustrated Guide to the Art of Kayaking

This week I got a copy on the main of the new Gary and Joanie McGuffin book, Paddle Your Own Kayak: An Illustrated Guide to the Art of Kayaking to review. I have been reading through it this week and it looks fantastic. The photos are really well shot and laid out which is nice to see.

It is as much as an instruction manual as a coffee table book that your mother would pick up and easily browse through.

I should have a more detailed review of it posted early next week.
