Canadian Sea Kayak Instructor Conferences

As some of you know, I’m organizing the first Eastern Canadian Sea Kayak Instructor Conference.

A couple of people have asked me how it first came together. Well, back in the early fall of 2006, I was in conversation with Scott MacGregor from Rapid Media. We were talking about how we could bring more resources to instructors to help them teach better.

Several more conversations later, the Canadian Sea Kayak Instructor Conferences were born. I'm organizing the Eastern Canadian Version and Michael Pardy is organizing the Western Canadian version of them. What is Scott doing? He is supporting them through his company Rapid Media and his magazines, Rapid, Adventure Kayak and Canoeroots.

So, we have speakers booked and things are humming along. Who is coming? The list of professionals is WAY to long to list. You can read about them here.

If things go well, we should have a big announcement for our final guest speaker and schedule for the Eastern version on Monday. Stay tuned.

Finally, if you are thinking of registering for these events, do it soon as the early bird registration ends in a couple of days and it is going to cost you more!
