McAuley: Yes this is Kayak One. Do you copy? Over.

MR: Kayak One, this is Fiordland Maritime Radio, reaching you loud and clear, over. Go ahead. Over, over.

McAuley: I have an emergency situation. My kayak about 30 hours from Milford Sound. I need rescue, I need rescue.

MR: Kayak One, Kayak One. This is the Fiordland Maritime Radio. Roger, understand you have an emergency situation. Now please repeat your message, over.

McAuley: (unreadable)

MR: Kayak One, Kayak One. Your signal is muffled. Please repeat your message, please repeat your message, over.

McAuley: I'm my kayak's sinking.

MR: Kayak One, this is Fiordland Maritime Radio. Just confirm your kayak is sinking, over.

McAuley: (breaks up)

McAuley: I've fell off (distorted) the sea, I'm lost I (unreadable)
