Riot Kayaks LogoThere are rumours floating around that Riot Kayaks have gone bankrupt or at least its parent company Voodoo Technologies Inc.

It's all a little hazy as nothing official has come out directly from Riot but the news was broken by The Captains Blog over at Savannah Canoe and Kayak.

There they mention that the operations of Riot will continue since Riot founder and president recently acquired Riot directly allowing Voodoo Technologies to close its doors. Riot operations have moved overseas closing the Montreal office.

According to the posting, Voodoo Technologies has now left 68 creditors unpaid with debts totalling $1.18 million.

When word spread over on the forum of Playak.com, many people started to speculate what is really going on.

Corran Anderson has since weighed in on the issue. Corran help start the company with Jeff but left the company 5 years ago to start up Dragorossi.

In his posting, Corran did confirm that Voodoo has gone bankrupt which was just a shell corporation housing Riot Kayaks.

Of course, we are waiting to hear the official word from Riot as to what exactly is going on. Drop in on the form to see people's reactions to the recent developments. I will add more details once I hear them.
