Trade Association of Paddlesports LogoAnswering the demand of the North East market TAPS proudly hosts this symposium based on the successful West Coast Sea Kayak Symposium (WCSKS).  The North East Canoe and Kayak Symposium (NECKS) will be a consumer event offering manufacturer demos, instruction and retail sales for attendees.  This move east has been discussed over many years but came to life when current board President Tim Rosenhan and Executive Director Michael Pardy created a new vision for TAPS and found a very capable show director in Ray Fusco.

For 24 years the West Coast Sea Kayak Symposium has been THE paddling event to attend west of the Rockies.  No where else have paddlers been able to find the same concentration of world class on-water instruction, seminars, presentations, and boats to demo.  Next year TAPS is introducing the same exciting symposium format to the Northeast.  This will be a great opportunity for both paddling novices and enthusiasts to explore the sport, improve their skills, and have a great time." Tim Rosenhan, President TAPS' Board of Directors

"The North East market has a heritage of strong consumer based sales shows and the void for a best in class symposium and educational event presented the perfect opportunity for TAPS and me.  The beauty of this relationship is that our goal and vision are the same...to produce an event that benefits the entire paddlesports industry!"
