Whisky 16
The Whisky 16 is an agile touring kayak developed by Nigel Foster. A spirited playboat for coastal waters, the Whisky 16, with its fuller bow and stern shape to reduce plunging, is designed with rough water, surf and current in mind, and for exciting coastal touring near the impact zones.

On gentler waters, here is a comfortable easily maneuvered and stable craft to inspire confidence. It is an ideal boat in which to develop skills.

With capacity for day trips, yet spacious enough for a few days of self- contained expedition paddling, the Whisky 16 comes into its own for exploring narrow passages and negotiating awkward corners where nimble turning is a delight.

Point 65 Whisky 16Available in vacuum-bagged glass fiber or in the lighter-weight Pro-Lite version with an infusion molded kevlar/carbon hull. The Whisky 16 has two large oval hatches; aft and bow, and a large round day hatch behind the cockpit for access to items while on the water. In addition, the Whisky hatch, a smaller round hatch in front of the cockpit opens to an under-deck compartment you might use for small items. The padded cockpit comes fitted with an ergonomically designed seat which provides excellent support as well as providing the close contact needed when rough-water playing, and a highly functional back support that offers great comfort and lumbar support.

The compass recess on the fore-deck accommodates a Silva 70P compass which is optional. The Whisky 16 is standard fitted with a retractable skeg and footrests. It is also available with an optional rudder control system. Whisky 16 is available in shops from the beginning of may.

DoubleShot
It takes two to tandem Open up exciting touring possibilities with your partner! Nigel Foster has developed the new Point 65 tandem DoubleShot to go where the singles go!

This is a lively tandem with some similarities to the single Whisky 16. Although fitted with a rudder as standard, the shallow-arch/hard chine hull configuration permits accurate edged-turning for coordinated paddling teams. This combination makes close coastal exploration easier and fun. Nimble for a double, and comfortably stable, the DoubleShot has sufficient storage capacity for day-trips and short multi-day expeditions, and offers exciting play opportunities for adventurous couples.

If you're looking for a playful tandem and don't want a barge, this could be your craft! The DoubleShot is available in vacuum-bagged glass fiber, or in the lighter Pro-Lite version which has an infusion molded kevlar/carbon hull. It is standard equipped with an easily removable rudder, rigged to be operated from the rear seat.

Storage is in five sealed compartments with large oval hatches to access the fore and aft cargo spaces, a single round hatch into the central compartment between the two paddlers, a round day-hatch behind the rear seat and a small "Whisky hatch" accessing an under-deck compartment in front of the forward seat.

The seating positions are suitably separated to avoid "paddle-clash" between the two paddlers on the water. The padded cockpits come fitted with ergonomically designed seats which provide excellent support as well as highly functional back rests that offer great comfort and back support. DoubleShot will be available in stores from the beginning of may.
