Aquapac LogoOyster Bay, New York - June 30th, 2009 - With summer about to hit full stride, Aquapac is making outdoor living a little bit easier by introducing three new and innovative 100% waterproof products designed for a wide variety of outdoor recreation.

Aquapac, the leader in waterproof protection, is introducing a stylish backpack, a smartly designed pannier and a functional map case this summer. Here’s a quick look at the three items:

Wet & Dry Backpack: With 1,525 cubic inches (25 liters) of room, a 3-roll sealing system that makes the bag drench-proof and a large internal pocket that lets users keep wet items separated from dry items, the 100% waterproof and floatable Wet & Dry Backpack is as multifunctional as any waterproof backpack on the market. It also features a reinforced back support system, a quick-access key pocket and a reflective logo. Perfect for paddlers and pedalers alike, it has a retail price of $95.

Pannier Backpack: It’ll attach to the rack of a bike, for sure, but the pannier also conveniently converts to a backpack (1,400 cubic inches) making it a perfect item for anybody biking around town. It has reflective patches, compression straps for added cargo security, heat-welded seams and handy light lashes for increased safety. Retail price is $135.

Kaituna Map Case: Keeping a paper map dry is key, and this case (sized at an accommodating 11.8 inches by 11.8 inches) fits most commercially available maps. It weighs just 2.5 ounces, has the most versatile attachment system on the market and provides superior clarity for map reading - even in low-light conditions. Retail price is $20.

“We’ve heard from many outdoor enthusiasts who were looking for functional waterproof protection that could be applied in a variety of pursuits,” said Andy MacAuley, product development director for Aquapac. “These three products can be used in a wide-range of activities, from cycling to paddling to hiking and orienteering.”

All three products will be available to consumers by Aug. 1.
