Emotion Kayaks, manufacturer of exceptional recreational kayaks and accessories, proudly announces the Emotion Comet as Outside Magazine’s 2010 “Gear of the Year” award. This is the first time a recreational kayak has ever won this award.

The Comet is a sit-inside kayak with key features like Emotion’s signature paddle keeper ledges, but at an incredible value. These boats are made in the USA, pairing affordability with exceptional performance. The Comet retails for $279 and is 8’3” weighing in at 38 pounds making it easy to launch, store and stable to paddle.

“The Comet is an exceptional boat for any level of enthusiast,” said Tom Strauss, president of Emotion Kayaks. “We want people to get out on the water, have fun and have a great experience with our products. The Comet is a great example of what we stand for at Emotion Kayaks.”

"The Comet gives all of our retailers the opportunity to provide a value oriented price point with all the features and performance of other boats. Our retail partners have confirmed this by the increased sales," says David D'Auteuil, VP of Sales, Emotion Kayaks. "This kayak will get more people into our sport so our whole industry will benefit."

Outside Magazine’s “Gear of the Year” can be found in print or online and Emotion Kayaks can be found at retail partners throughout North America and internationally.
