Thule 887 SlipStreamAustin, TX January 5, 2007 – Rack Outfitters announces it will be partnering with Thule, Inc. to release a new innovation in kayak carriers, the Thule 887 SlipStream. Thule has engineered the to be a fully adjustable and complete kayak platform. It is the first carrier on the market that ensures contact-free rear loading on any vehicle.

"Thule’s engineers developed the Thule 887 SlipStream with the intention of providing a kayak carrier that is loaded with features, like the Thule 897xt Hullavator (picture available at: http://208.112.38.87/car-racks/pc/viewPrd.asp?idcategory=0&idproduct=886), and reasonably priced,” said Ross Fife, Sales Manager at Rack Outfitters. “The SlipStream features a sliding base system that allows roller position adjustment, which eliminates kayak to vehicle contact. This feature helps prevent damage to the vehicle and kayak. The Thule 887 SlipStream is also compatible with Thule, Yakima, and most factory cross bars, which will be a major selling point for most consumers."

The SlipStream features adjustable saddles allowing for support at the strongest section of the kayak regardless of base rack location. The Thule 887 SlipStream system includes saddles, roller, base tubes, and all necessary straps and tie downs for one kayak.

The Thule 887 Slip Stream has a suggested retail price of $300.00.
