The Paddlesports Industry Association is expecting an increasing number of canoe and kayak registration and tax fights at the state level over the next several years.

Along with registration and taxes, other public policy issues the Paddlesports Industry Association is tracking include mandatory lifejacket use, mandatory boater education, and mandatory boater ID cards. The high level of focus on paddlesports activities is coming after a lengthy period of governmental "hands off" on the our industry.

Now is the time for industry executives and owners to get involved in government affairs and public policy. If you are interested in these issues as they affect you, your state, and your industry, please call Matt Menashes, PIA Executive Director, at 703-451-3864 x 26 to get involved.
