Whitewater RollingI recently stumbled onto WhitewaterInstruction.com which describes itself as, "an open forum with the goal of bringing together different instruction methods in an effort to advance the overall theory of whitewater instruction".

On the site you will find lots of articles and video related specifically to whitewater instruction and technique.

Over the years, I have had the goal to try to provide instruction resources for all three paddlesports (canoeing, whitewater and sea kayaking) but as you can see, the majority of the resources out there are more related to sea kayaking and canoeing. So it is great to see another site specifically related to whitewater instruction.

Recently, I had somebody ask me why I don't have more actual technique articles. My first answer was to say that I didn't have any time but the real answer was that I have always felt that there are lots of other great sites out there that serve that need well. My goal has always been to provide free resources on some other topics that a good instructor needs to know about that often don't get covered. And my blog? Well, it a hodge podge of whatever interests me like news, gadgets and other water related stuff. Think of it as a blog for water geeks. Like me.
