Stellarium Software Looking to increase your knowledge of the starts above you? You need to download the free open-source software, Stellarium.

Here is the description from the website:
Stellarium is a free open source planetarium for your computer. It shows a realistic sky in 3D, just like what you see with the naked eye, binoculars or a telescope.

I recently downloaded it and gave it for a spin. Wow, what a fantastic piece of software. You can quickly zoom in on any star in the sky then get information on the star or nebula by clicking on it. You can view planets and shooting stars in real time.

It's free, check it out.
