Evolution of the World Map
I recently found this really cool collection of world maps showing the evolution of the known world map.

What starts off as a big garbled mess, starts to get organized into the map that we know today.


The really cool observation is to watch how the maps change after the America's were discovered. Compare the accuracy with the rest of the contents that they knew about for a long time.

I'm going to go out on a limb and say that I strongly believe that there is another giant continent just waiting to be discovered out there. We just need to sail our ships around the edge of the map where the dragons live...
