If you have been following along to the fascinating story of the kayaker who went missing 5.5 years ago only to reappear at a police station over the past weekend.

On the whole it has been a strange story that took another twist last night after police arrested him on fraud charges. All along he claimed that he couldn't remember where he has been for the past 5 years but a British Tabloid published a photo of him alongside his wife on the balcony of an apartment in Panama City in July 2006.

In an appeal for public help, Detective Superintendent of the Cleveland Police, Tony Hutchison, said: "There will be people out there who know exactly where he has been, what he has been doing and where he has been living."

I love it when a good juice gossip story gets mixed together with a good paddling story. It's the best of both worlds in my eyes...
